Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Reading!

Hello my little earth angels, light workers, indigos, rainbow children, and maybe even a few muppets!

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope a calm Black Friday (no sucker punches needed).

After all the traveling and rushing around and interacting with so many people and their energy, I used Doreen Virtue's Angel Therapy Oracle Cards to ask if there was any advice or reminders for us to get back to center.

I started shuffling and before I could even pick a card the "Be Willing to Forgive" card fell into my lap.
Uh..totally coincidental! Right?

Even if you don't consciously acknowledge it, maybe you sat further away from Uncle Bobo at the dinner table this Thanksgiving. After all, he did play "got your nose"  into your teen years and effectively embarrassed you in front of your family for all eternity. Forgiveness does not mean condoning annoying or destructive behavior (I'm sure many of us WISH we had our noses grabbed given some of the toxic behavior swirling around ourselves and our family members). Forgiveness is really just giving yourself permission to let go negative and uncomfortable feelings that you've been holding onto. Holding onto such stress and anxiety is not affecting the other person. It is only affecting you. It's okay to let go and allow yourself to forgive and move forward.

Which brings me to our next card...

Maybe it wasn't just Uncle Bobo you were scooting away from at the dinner table...
You love your parent(s)/guardian(s) but maybe you have a complicated relationship with one or all of them.
The Parents card ties in perfectly with the Be Willing to Forgive card, especially with the holidays and many gatherings we're attending. Sometimes we can feel obligated to play nice just because it's what we're told to do this time of year.
This is a reminder again, if you allow a little forgiveness in your heart, you will benefit greatly and start to heal.
If you take a look back at the Be Willing to Forgive card, you will see the caduceus symbol ( the medical symbol -- don't worry, I had to look it up) at the chest of the angel. The forgiveness will heal your heart and clear out old junky energy clogging up your heart chakra.
I love how the Parents depicted in this card are playing their instruments merrily. After a few glasses of wine I'm sure all our parents are shaking their tambourines and telling embarrassing stories from our childhood as we're sitting at the table. Oh how our ego and pride hates that.
If you are having an extra hard time with anything you may have gone through, please know that the angel cards are absolutely NO substitution for a therapist's or doctor's help. There is no shame in getting help from a professional who knows how to help you heal. It's awesome and liberating to take control back. (This is coming from someone who's own parent heavily frowned upon therapy and was judgmental. These old school beliefs have no place in our lives anymore!)

What both of these cards do encourage is the power of prayer and asking for help. Whether you pray to the Universe, God, a Creator, whomever --it  helps! It's okay to ask for what you want whether that be peace, or strong relationships, or healing for yourself and others.

I pulled one more card because the other two fell out onto my lap and I wanted to see what I would pull and it was...
Fairies!
Our little Janis Joplin doppelganger closes the reading out.
I love angel cards and reading about all things soul and spiritual related but even the fairy realm is hard for me to take seriously sometimes. It is a nice thought that little Tinkerbells are flying around trying to help us out.
However, I am interpreting this card as a reminder of all the consumption and gluttony that can rear their ugly little heads during this season. I feel this is a helpful reminder to recycle, up-cycle, donate, clean up, be kind to the earth and it will be kind back. Use cloth napkins instead of paper towels, recycle all the wine bottles and Coke cans instead of throwing them in the trash after a big party. The easy way might not be the most sustainable way!

Alright my little flower patches, I hope you enjoyed this reading.
